 A  limited number of funding is available. The closing date for applications is 15th February 2016. Please see the website for more information: http://www.irpa2016capetown.org.za/Funding.asp
 
Please note that funding is strictly limited and no guarantees of financial support can be given until the Organising Committee has reviewed all applications. Preference will be given to applicants who have raised at least a portion of the required funding themselves.

Position vacant: Medical Imaging Health Physicist

RadTest Australia is a private regulatory compliance inspection company based in Melbourne and is seeking a Health Physicist with experience in medical imaging compliance testing and shielding design to commence in March 2016. Additionally RANZCR/ACPSEM MQAP certification would be preferred.  

A driver’s licence is essential and Victorian Government licensing will be required.

Travel to South Africa 
 
   Dear Colleagues 

   With less than 6 months to go before the Congress, we are writing to let you have some information 
   and suggestions relating to travel to Cape Town and South Africa. This will help you to prepare for your 
   trip and assist you to have a hassle free journey
  
   Cape Town
   Cape Town is rated by many travel organisations as one of the most beautiful and enjoyable cities in 
   the world. Visitors are always welcome and can enjoy a host of world renowned attractions, fine 
   cuisine and outstanding accommodation. It’s an experience not to be missed.
   Cape Town and South Africa have a first world, communication, transport, business and hotel
   Infrastructure whilst maintaining a warm and friendly African identity and culture.
   With the current rate of exchange at 14 Rands to 1 US Dollar, and 14.9 to the Euro, there has never 
   been a more affordable time to visit this country.
 
   Arrival
   The Congress will officially begin on Monday, 9th May 2016. You should plan to arrive in Cape Town 
   the day before or earlier if you wish to enjoy the attractions of the city.
 
   Passports & Visas
   All visitors to South Africa require a passport which must be valid for at least six months longer than 
   your intended date of departure from this country. You must also have at least one blank page in your 
   passport (free of endorsements or stamps) 
 
   Passport holders from certain countries require visas to enter South Africa and these can only be 
   obtained from embassies, consulates or missions abroad and not on arrival in South Africa. Details of 
   the requirements and procedures for obtaining visas or entry permits can be found on the official 
   government website http://www.home-affairs.gov.za/index.php/applying-for-sa-visa 
 
   We encourage you to apply well in advance to avoid stress and disappointment.
 
   Accommodation
   The Congress organisers have arranged for preferential rates at a wide range of quality hotels in 
   Cape Town to suit all budgets, especially for participants of IRPA14. These are conveniently located 
   within walking or easy travel distance from the Congress venue. Some have prearranged shuttle 
   transport.

   Airlines
   South Africa is served by numerous international and domestic airlines, all offering quality services 
   and competitive fares. Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is the official airport of Cape Town.
   South African Airways (SAA) has been appointed as the preferred airline of the Congress and they
   have arranged preferential and flexible rates for delegates on their route network.
 
   Airport Transfers
   You may take a taxi or a bus from Cape Town international airport to your hotel or you may book a 
   prepaid transfer through the Congress organisers and their preferred transport company at preferential

   Health Certificates
   People travelling from declared yellow fever countries of South America and Central Africa will be 
   required to produce certificates of inoculation. You should consult your local medical practitioner or 
   travel clinic if you need more information.
 
   Tours & Excursions
   With so much to see and do in this beautiful city, we invite you to bring your partner or family and 
   enjoy the wonderful sights, cultures and history of our country. Table Mountain, wine estates, the 
   Table Bay Waterfront, safari parks and more attractions await you. 
   The organisers have prepared a selection of attractive half day, full day and extended tours and 
   excursions for participants. There are also technical tours to Koeberg Power Station, Groote Schuur 
   and Tygerberg Hospitals, iThemba LABS and the South African Nuclear Energy Association (Necsa)
