Hundreds of participants have attended the IAEA URAM series of events in 2005, 2009 and 2014, and now this globally important uranium production cycle meeting will be held again. On 25-29 June 2018 the International Symposium on Uranium Raw Material for Nuclear Fuel Cycle: Exploration, Mining, Production, Supply and Demand, Economics and Environmental Issues will be held in Vienna, Austria.

Expressions of interest are sought for membership of the Radiation Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Department of Health and Human Services. The RAC consists of at least five members appointed by the Minister for Health for a period of three years. It advises and reports to the Minister or the Secretary of the Department on any matter relating to the administration of the Radiation Act 2005.
Prospective members will have to undergo probity checks, including a police check. Applications close on 2 June 2017.

The APPC-AIP Congress 2016 http://appc-aip2016.org.au/ ie. the joint APPC Asia Pacific Physics Conference and AIP Australian Institute of Physics Congress in conjunction with the AAPPS Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies and the AOS Australian Optical Society invites applications for AIP-APCTP International Travel Awards.
Significant funding for this initiative has been provided by the Australian Institute of Physics http://www.aip.org.au/ and the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics https://www.apctp.org/ .
These travel grants are aimed at supporting students / early-career delegates from outside Australia to present their research at the APPC-AIP Congress in Brisbane (during the 4th-8th December 2016).
The closing date for Travel Award applications and their abstracts is Monday 15th August 2016.
