APPC-AIP Financial support and Scholarships

Financial support available!

The APPC-AIP Congress 2016 ie. the joint APPC Asia Pacific Physics Conference and AIP Australian Institute of Physics Congress in conjunction with the AAPPS Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies and the AOS Australian Optical Society invites applications for AIP-APCTP International Travel Awards.

Significant funding for this initiative has been provided by the Australian Institute of Physics and the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics .

These travel grants are aimed at supporting students / early-career delegates from outside Australia to present their research at the APPC-AIP Congress in Brisbane (during the 4th-8th December 2016).

The closing date for Travel Award applications and their abstracts is Monday 15th August 2016.

Executive Officer Ionising Radiation
Job Discription
The Ionising Radiation Manager position (EOIR) acts as a radiation health physicist for the Defence Radiation Safety and Environment (DRSE) Directorate and provides it with ionising radiation (IR) technical expertise and IR safety guidance. EOIR will implement the DRSE IR safety sub-program under the direction of the Deputy Director Radiation Hazard Management. Sub-program tasks include: provision of IR advice; conduct of assurance inspections and site visits; technical oversight of the logistics life cycle for IR sources; development of IR policy and maintenance of IR publications. We invite you to submit an abstract for the 2016 ARPS Conference.
This year's Conference theme is "Perceptions, Risks and Opportunities".
