Matthew Wiggins is a health physicist with Queensland Health’s Radiation Sciences unit, working in environmental radiation monitoring, calibration and emergency preparedness. He is President of the Australasian Radiation Protection Young Generation Network (ARPYGN) and serves on the Executive of the Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS). Matthew’s recent work includes vehicle-based gamma dose-rate mapping across Queensland roads and developing practical tools to support radiation safety practitioners such as a drinking water calculator. Outside of work, he is active in professional outreach and science communication.
