Support the Student Fund

The Student Fund is sustained through ARPS conference profits and donations from individuals and corporate members. Donations help ARPS continue supporting students and the next generation of radiation protection professionals.

To discuss a donation to the Student Fund, please contact the ARPS Secretariat at secretariat@arps.org.au.

Brief history of the Student Fund

The ARPS Student Fund was established in 2015 following an agreement between the Operators’ Radiation Committee and ARPS to provide equal capital donations of $20,000 into a separate ARPS account.

The fund is now solely managed by ARPS and continues to support students with an interest in radiation protection. Its purpose is to help students access opportunities that build knowledge, experience and professional connection within the radiation protection community.

The Operators’ Radiation Committee was an informal network of mining industry radiation safety officers. Its scope subsequently broadened to include work with mineral sands, rare earths, and oil industry NORM radiation monitoring and control requirements.
