What are other exposure scientists working on?.. a look at the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists

Presented by: Tracey Bence

Tracey Bence is the current President Elect of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) and Fellow of Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (FAIOH®). She holds a Masters Science (Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology ) from Edith Cowan University and is a proud Western Australian, St Kilda supporter, Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH®) and seasoned workplace health and safety professional in oil & gas and mining sectors.

With expertise in Global Pandemic Response, Human Factors Engineering, Humans and Organizational Performance, Occupational exposure assessment, Health risk communication and a love of workforce training and safety culture building she doesn’t mind slipping on the chemical protective overalls to get down and dirty in Major Hazard Facilities, Confined Spaces and remediation sites to do some measurement of toxic gases & vapors, hazardous dusts, noise and on occasion, Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM).

At this webinar Tracey will lift the lid on the science and art that is Occupational Hygiene, share what has kept the AIOH a thriving member based organisation for over 40 years, why some of us have taken to breeding the next generation of hygienists and some aspects of exposure science that only hygienists seem to get or care about.
