The international profession
The International Radiation Protection Association is the international voice of the radiation protection profession. It brings practitioners together through national and regional radiation protection societies, including ARPS.
IRPA promotes international cooperation and the worldwide enhancement of professional competence, radiation protection culture and good practice. Its community includes people working across medicine, research, government, regulation, industry, mining, nuclear applications, education and environmental protection.
Through IRPA, practitioners can exchange experience across countries, contribute to technical and professional discussions, participate in international congresses and help shape practical approaches to protecting people and the environment from ionising and non-ionising radiation.
ARPS members participate in IRPA through ARPS, which represents radiation protection professionals across Australia and New Zealand as an IRPA Associate Society.
