Forensic & Scientific Services are seeking a permanent full-time Hp4 Senior Radiochemist to join our team. Located in Coopers Plains, the primary purpose of this position is to apply expert skills and knowledge in sample preparation, analysis methods and reporting of radionuclides in environmental and biological matrices. What we are looking for:

  • Expertise in radiochemical methods and laboratory analysis of radionuclides. Knowledge and experience are highly valued in radiochemistry separation techniques, alpha spectrometry, liquid scintillation counting, environmental sample matrices and naturally occurring radioactive material.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a flexible working environment. Contributions to a positive workplace culture are essential.
  • Knowledge and problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt, including researching and developing methods to expand laboratory capability and capacity. This includes fostering training and professional development of self and less-experienced colleagues. A proactive and enthusiastic approach is valued.
  • Ability to support colleagues with basic and advanced tasks, both routine and non-routine, to enable the work unit to efficiently fulfill operational plan objectives.
