Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Significant relevant experience working in the delivery of nuclear and radioactive waste management and disposal programs and projects.  

  • Significant relevant experience in managing projects within a highly regulated industry/environment.   

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, in particular the demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports and briefings.    

  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of a workplace culture that embraces safety and security and is collaborative and inclusive.   

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that foster trust and cooperation, and a proven ability to work effectively and with integrity within a politically sensitive environment.    

  • An ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice.    

  • A valid Australian drivers licence.  

 

We are ideally looking for a candidate who has:  

  • Experience in, or a sound understanding of, the radioactive waste management industry.  

  • Sound understanding of Commonwealth Government processes.  

  • Experience in, or a sound understanding of nuclear facility security and safeguards.  

  • Experience in, or a sound understanding of radiation protection principles.
