Queensland Health is currently seeking a Radiochemist to join the Radioanalytical Chemistry team within the Radiation Health Unit of the Health Protection and Regulation Branch in Brisbane, Queensland.

This role provides scientific and professional radioanalytical chemistry services for government and external clients, supporting radiation protection of the public and the environment. The position involves both independent and collaborative work in routine and complex radioanalytical analyses and supports strategic advice across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing state-wide radioanalytical chemistry services aligned with the objectives of the Radiation Health Unit.

  • Delivering high quality analytical results and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

  • Communicating analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and contributing to quality assurance processes.

  • Participating in national and international laboratory networks.
